Harry Potter and a Cursed Child is set to be staged on Broadway, according to writer Colin Callender.
The two-part play — that is set 19 years after author J.K. Rowling’s books and spin-off cinema — has a central opening during a West End here on Saturday and producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender are operative on skeleton to theatre a uncover in New York, reports dailymail.co.uk.
“We’ve got to take a really large exhale now and get by a weekend,” Callender said.
“Then we’ll understanding with what a subsequent theatre looks like – and hopefully Broadway will be partial of that,” he added.
The play sees Potter as an “overworked” worker of a Ministry of Magic and centers on his and Ginny Weasley’s son Albus. Rowling recently pleaded with fans not to spoil a tract of a play for others.
