Jammu: Seven people were killed on Monday when a helicopter carrying Vaishno Devi pilgrims crashed nearby Katra in Jammu region, military said. According to India Today, a helicopter was strike was a bird after that a helicopter held fire.
CNN-IBN quoted a Inspector-General, Jammu as observant that a technical error might have led to a pile-up and a matter is underneath investigation. An NDTV news pronounced that a pile-up might have taken place since of a fog, and remarkable that a series of flights had been incompetent to land during Jammu airfield since of a haze on Monday morning.
A military officer told IANS that a commander was among a dead. The pile-up took place in Reasi district. Police crew rushed to a site to see if there were any survivors.
The helicopter belonged to a private organisation named Himalayan Heli Services, that also runs services for a Char Dham Yatra, according to a NDTV report.
