Former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi’s son Praveen Kumar, who had been incarcerated by a military after he was allegedly found carrying Rs 4.65 lakh in income in a car, was postulated bail on Sunday.
However, a Rs 4.65 lakh in income was not released. “Parveen Manjhi was expelled on bail though a income seized from him, is being analyzed by a Income Tax officials. He was incarcerated after Rs 4.65 lakh was found in his automobile during ongoing checking for unaccounted income forward of public election,” The Times of India quoted Aditya Kumar, SP Jehanabad, as saying.
Earlier on Sunday, a military had intercepted a automobile during Gaya-Jehanabad check post nearby Umta encampment and seized Rs 4.65 lakh in income from Manjhi’s son Praveen Kumar who was on his approach to Patna from Gaya, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Md Ashfaq Ansari had said.
Kumar had been incarcerated and taken to Makdumpur military hire for doubt after he unsuccessful to give a acceptable respond about a purpose for carrying a cash, Ansari had said.
Praveen Kumar had pronounced he was going to Patna from Gaya with Rs 4.65 lakh for construction work being carried out in his house.
“I was going to Patna from Gaya. The volume was Rs 4.65 lakh.
“I was holding this income to build a house. At a residence in Hanuman Nagar in Patna, some construction work is going on. we had taken this income from my brothers,” he had told reporters.
Jitan Ram Manjhi, Kumar’s father and a former Bihar arch apportion is also a President of Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular). He is in New Delhi for seat-sharing talks with BJP
The five-phase Bihar Assembly choosing will start from 12 Oct and counting of votes will take place on 8 November.
