Mumbai: Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is roving high on a success of Tanu Weds Manu Returns, is ideal to play soldier black Rani Laxmibai in his arriving biopic, says executive Ketan Mehta.
“She (Kangana) is on board. She has favourite a script. It’s purpose of a lifetime. She is during a tip now… she is doing good work. we consider she was best for a film,” Mehta told PTI.
To get into a skin of her character, Kangana will be undergoing training in horse-riding and sword-fighting.
Mehta is returning to a pre-independence epoch following his Aamir Khan-starrer biopic on Mangal Pandey in 2005.
There are several speculations per a casting of a film, with English actor Hugh Grant’s name gathering adult in some reports. Mehta, however, is silent on a cast.

“The routine of casting is on and we will be creation an proclamation soon,” Mehta said.
The director, famous for films like Mirch Masala, Maya Memsaab, Rang Rasiya, pronounced a biopic will go on floors subsequent year.
Talking about a project, Mehta said, “Rani Laxmibai is one of a many fascinating women we have come opposite in terms of what she has finished in her life. we suffer making biopics.”
“It is a good height to contend stories of those people who have finished good work. It has been a plea to write this biopic though these are good challenges. we am really excited to start operative on it,” Mehta said.
