Mumbai: Every day was like a celebration on a sets of Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do, though by a finish of it, actor Ranveer Singh craved for some “Bhansali action”.
Dil Dhadakne Do is about a dysfunctional family’s journey trip, and a whole film fire was a arrange of a cruise for a star cast.
Ranveer is happy to have worked in Zoya’s character of cinema, that some-more of “slice of life” and entertaining, though it didn’t give him a event “to scream, to sweat, to remove out voice and all” — creation him skip his Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani director.
“By a finish of Zoya’s film, we was like ‘I need to go to Bhansali’ since behaving in her (Zoya Akhtar) film is so infrequent and candid. You are sitting on a lounge and talking… sitting in a bar and talking… if we are walking, afterwards also we are carrying conversation,” Ranveer pronounced here in an interview.
“So it is a really vehement and casual. During a shoot, we had jokingly pronounced to PC (Priyanka Chopra) that ‘I can’t conflict myself. we have to go to Bhansali. we wish to scream out, do movement stuff, do assertive scenes and cry”… and this is not in Zoya’s films,” Ranveer, who did heated scenes in Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela – Ram Leela, said.
While in Zoya’s film Ranveer plays a abounding and grand civic guy, in Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, he will be seen as Maratha soldier Peshwa Bajirao and will also lift off some heated scenes and action.
However, Ranveer is happy to work with a dual directors “who are poles detached with opposite styles of behaving and filmmaking”.
