Mumbai: Bollywood singer-composer Aadesh Shrivastava, who was battling a relapsed cancer, upheld divided post midnight in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital.
He was 51. Shrivastava had been undergoing cancer diagnosis during a sanatorium in Andheri for over 40 days.
“Mr Aadesh Shrivastava (51) lapsed during 12.30 am on Sep 5, 2015 in Kokilaben Hospital due to cancer,” Dr Ram Narain of a sanatorium told PTI.
Shrivastava is survived by his wife, Vijeta Pandit, a former Bollywood singer and sister of music-composer twin Jatin- Lalit, and their dual sons — Anivesh and Avitesh.
Last dusk Shrivastava’s brother-in-law and composer Lalit Pandit had told PTI, “He has been undergoing chemotherapy though he is not responding to it. So, a doctors have stopped giving him chemotherapy. They have an swap theory. The doctors are perplexing to do their best and Aadesh is fighting it bravely.”
Shrivastava, who battled cancer 5 years ago, was diagnosed with a same illness again. He was pronounced to be in a vicious condition when he was certified to a hospital.
Over a march of his career, Shrivastava had stoical song for over 100 Hindi films, including Chalte Chalte, Baabul, Baghban, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Rajneeti and others.
He got his initial large mangle with film Kanyadaan in 1993. However, a film could not be expelled and a songs went unnoticed.
Shrivastava delivered draft busters like “Kya ada kya jalwe tere Paro“, “Haathon mein aa gaya jo kal“, “Sona sona“, “Shava shava“, “Gustakhiyaan“, “Gur nalon ishq mitha“, “Mora Piya” among others.
He was a decider on a talent hunt uncover Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge in 2005 and 2009.
Shrivastava took to instruction with his brief film on child prostitution, Sanaa. His colleagues from a industry, including Amitabh Bachchan and luminary Shah Rukh Khan, were gripping a check on his health.
“Amit ji (Amitabh Bachchan) has been gripping a check on his health frequently over phone. He has been really helpful. Besides, Shah Rukh Khan had come to revisit him too. Tina Ambani has visited him twice and she is also holding special care,” Lalit had said.
“People from a song attention like Shaan, Sonu Nigam, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan also have been visiting him regularly. Shekar Kapur, Govind Nihalani, Poonam Dhillon and others had come to see him too,” he had said.
