SC declines to meddle with Bombay HC sequence lifting anathema on sale of meat

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday declined to meddle with a Bombay High Court that had stayed a sequence of a Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai prohibiting a sale of beef during a Jain festival of Paryurshan.

An peak justice dais of Justice TS Thakur and Justice Kurian Joseph, while refusing to perform a defence by a trust, pronounced that there should be a suggestion of “tolerance and accommodation”.

The justice authorised a postulant Shree Tapagachiya Atma Kamal Labhdisuriswarji Gyanmandir Trust to go to a high justice to lift all a contentions and defence for an early hearing.

The trust has challenged 14 September, 2015, halt sequence of Bombay High Court.
