Most moai are on a coasts, and this excavated organisation is a many internal of all a moai.
Several digs have suggested a bodies next a surface.
The digs have also unprotected a carvings on a statue’s backs. We don’t know what they meant yet.
It’s probable that they paint a normal Rapa Nui tattoos that a people had, or maybe they promulgate a story about a sold ancestor. They’re now being studied.
Sometime around 1500, construction of a moai stopped. The people’s sacrament shifted, too, from forerunner ceremony to a sacrament that worshipped a half-man, half-bird figure.
Today, some-more than 50 moai have been re-erected, excavated, and placed behind on their strange mill platforms. Some have been shipped off to museums in other areas of a world.
