On Sept. 11, 2001 (9/11), 4 militant attacks shook a United States by targeting a World Trade Center (WTC), a Pentagon, and a White House, and murdering roughly 3,000 people. According to The Washington Post, a Islamic organisation al-Qaeda was a perpetrator of a deadliest militant act in universe history, that harmed over 6,000 people and caused $3 trillion damage.

The attacks influenced a U.S. completely, and a sports attention was no exception. Several athletes died, and sporting events rescheduled. For a final 15 years, a families, friends, and fans of a victims have struggled to live with a pain. They live with a doubt that has no answer: “Why?”

According to List Verse, a Australian champion Ian Thorpe was in New York on Sept. 11, 2001, as he considers a city to be his second home. Moreover, a swimmer designed to go to a WTC regard deck. Thorpe was out for a run when he satisfied he did not have his camera, so he headed behind to a hotel to get it. Once he arrived in his room, he incited on a TV and saw a WTC North Tower on fire.

Thorpe is a Australian swimmer who won a many Olympic bullion medals in a 2016 Rio Olympics. Additionally, he cumulative 11 World Championship bullion medals, a second-highest series of any swimmer.
