Like a prior years, TIFF 2017 has been all about a red carpets. Real Style was on several, including a ones final Friday dusk for “Stronger” and “The Upside”.
“Stronger” is a loyal story of Jeff Bauman, an typical male who was held in a barbarous 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. He’s forced to learn to travel again after losing his legs in a attack, and a film shows all of his struggles, both emotionally and physically, to do so. The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Bauman, and Tatiana Maslany as his partner Erin. Both of a stars walked a Red Carpet for Friday’s premiere, and Jeff Bauman himself took his legitimate place alongside Gyllenhaal.
The other large red runner on Friday night was for “The Upside”. The film is a reconstitute of a French film called The Intouchables, and it follows a story of a rich paraplegic and an impoverished male with a rapist record he hires to assistance him. Bryan Cranston stars in a lead role, with Nicole Kidman and Kevin Hart co-starring. While Kevin Hart couldn’t be there on Friday night to support his latest comedy, both Cranston and Kidman were, and Kidman even brought along her husband, nation music’s Keith Urban, to travel alongside her.
