London: The northern Welsh city of Bala, with a race of about 2,000 inhabitants, has temporarily altered a name to Bale in honour of a country’s heading football star, Gareth Bale.
Bala, located in North Wales, is located 228 kilometres from Welsh collateral city Cardiff, will keep a new name as prolonged as Wales stay in a ongoing Euro 2016 championship in France, Efe reported on Friday.
“It’s a good approach to honour Gareth Bale and get behind a Welsh patrol for Euro 2016. 100 per cent behind a move,” pronounced Dilwyn Morgan, a city councillor. “Gareth Bale is an general sporting star and this pierce should put Bala, sorry, Bale, on a general map,” Morgan added.
Bale, 26, plays for Real Madrid, where he changed from Tottenham Hotspur on a universe record send price of 100.8 million euros (approximately $113.6 million) in 2013.
Wales are in second place in Group B during Euro 2016 in France, after winning their initial compare opposite Slovakia 2-1 and descending on Thursday to England 1-2. They will subsequent face Russia on Tuesday.
